Young ideas, tested as real micro-startups
DEMYST gives youth workers a ready-to-run method for digital entrepreneurship, and gives young people the chance to build, price and test a first small business idea. Six modules, three countries, everything free and open to reuse.
The idea
Start small, test fast, keep what works
Most youth entrepreneurship training stops at the business plan. DEMYST goes further: young people run a small real test — a landing page, a market stall, a first paid order — and learn what the numbers tell them.
The method is built on the franchise-prototype approach: write the process down, hand it to someone else, see if it still works. That is what makes it easy for a small youth organisation to repeat the training next year without us.

How the project runs
Four work packages, two years
Each work package hands something concrete to the next one: trained trainers, then tested materials, then local partners who keep running the sessions.

Management & quality
Clear roles, monthly steering, quality sign-off before anything reaches young people. A monthly community of practice keeps trainers talking to each other.

Training the trainers
Six modules — from problem discovery to pricing, budgeting and online safety — delivered to at least 45 youth workers, with a trainer pack they keep.

Co-creation & pilots
Young people help write the storyboards, then test them in workshops in all three countries. Half the places go to young people with fewer opportunities.

Demo days & uptake
Three public demo days where young people show what they built, and local hosts commit in writing to running the sessions again next year.

Run DEMYST in your own organisation
The Toolkit comes with storyboards, handouts and a short guide for hosts: how long a session takes, what the room needs, and who has to be in it. English, Slovak, Italian and German, under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
